The fight is split into two realms, the Normal World and the Spirit World.
Shadowy minions spawn in the Spirit World to damage people in both realms.
Severers of Souls spawn in the Spirit World to attack the tank that is banished.
Players must go to the Spirit Realm by standing in a dying Spirit Totem, then kill Shadowy Minions to mitigate the damage they are doing to the raid.
Once ready to go up, they must be healed to full and hit their extra action button to return to the Normal World.
Gara'jal will periodically replace his regular attacks with various Shadow damage abilities: Sweeping Kick, Right Cross, Left Hook, and Hammer Fist.
Be careful of the extra tank damage!
Most of the fight happens in the Normal Realm, where Gara'jal stays. Players will need to go to the Spirit Realm through Spirit Totems, or by getting Banished by the boss.

KILL SEVERERS OF SOUL
In order to escape the Spirit World, the tank sent down must kill 3 Severers of Souls.
One will spawn with red arms, this one must be solo killed.
The other two can be killed with the help of other players who come down through the Cross Over.
If they do not kill all three within 30 seconds, the tank dies.
Gara'jal sends the current tank down to the Spirit World and will spawn 3 Severers of Souls.
1 tank, 1 healer, and 1 DPS (2 on 25man) will be linked together as Voodoo Dolls.
All damage taken by any of these players is replicated to the rest.
It's essential to focus on healing these players, especially if there are remaining Shadow Bolt casts.
Any player with Voodoo Doll should not attempt to Cross Over into the Spirit World.

BY USING EXTRA ACTION BUTTON
While in the Spirit Realm, you will gain a Spiritual Innervation stack when you receive any healing, buffing your secondary stats as tanks/DPS, and giving mp5 to healers. You get more benefit from this buff the more you are healed.
Once you are healed to full, you can press your extra action button to return to the Normal World.

TO GO TO THE SPIRIT REALM
Escape the spirit world and return to your real world body by using your Extra Action Button.
At 20% health, Gara'jal will enrage. Make sure to save cooldowns to kill him ASAP!
At 20% health, Gara'jal gains 50% melee haste and 25% additional damage.
It's important when you reach this phase to have cooldowns ready, especially if you've left Shadowy Minions alive, casting Shadow Bolt.
