Strategy Guide
This fight has 2 phases.
During phase 1 you can't damage Lady Deathwhisper's life, instead, the damage dealt will drain her mana. She also cannot move during this phase.
In 10 man, the side of the room where adds spawn alternates. In 25 man they spawn from both sides, and one random mob from the stairs.
Phase 2 starts when all her mana is drained. The boss can now be moved around the room.
During Phase 1, the boss cannot move and adds will spawn from the sides of the room.
A common strategy is to stand behind the boss and use the healers' natural threat to make the adds come to your raid.
Tanks will have to take aggro on the adds and position them near the boss to cleave them down.

MOVE OUT FROM THE AOE
Lady Deathwhisper drops an AoE pool for 10s. Move out from it.
EVERYONE
USE CC ON MCED PLAYERS
The boss mind controls a random player, increasing their damage and healing by a large amount.
This does not get used in 10 man raid normal mode.
Don't attack the players, make sure to use crowd control (cyclone, fear, polymorph, etc) instead.

FOCUS DOWN THE
EMPOWERED ADDS.
The boss empowers a random Adherent or Fanatic:
Adherents' spells deal AoE damage and they become immune to interrupts.
Fanatics' attacks deal double damage. Tanks should kite to avoid getting one-shot.
The empowered add should always be the prio target.
EVERYONE
FOCUS DOWN THE
SKELETON ADDS QUICKLY.
Adherents or Fanatics will randomly sacrifice themselves dealing AoE damage.
Soon after, the dead add revives in a skeleton form.
Adherent skeletons are immune to spell damage.
Fanatic skeletons are immune to physical damage.
Damage dealt drains Lady Deathwhisper's mana instead of health. Getting her mana down to 0 through DPS'ing the shield ends Phase 1.
The Adherent casts a disease on a player, inflicting 15s frost DoT. It also reduces their attack speed by 25%.
Cleanse the affected player.
Curse a random player, increasing their ability cooldowns for 15s.
Decurse the affected players ASAP.
Adherents can shield themselves, reflecting harmful spells back. It also prevents interrupts.
The shield breaks after 50k damage. Melee DPS should focus them down.
A bolt inflicting shadowfrost damage. This can be interrupted.
When shrouded, the adherent casts an empowered bolt, dealing AoE damage to all players within 10 yards.
The boss casts a shadow bolt. Just heal through.
The fanatic inflicts a disease that absorbs the next 20k heal.
This debuff should be healed.
Fanatics often melee cleave. Don't stand in front.
Tanks should be careful about their positioning.
When empowered the Deformed Fanatic should be kited because of their doubled damage.
They also sometimes cast a buff on themselves, increasing their damage and healing.
It can be purged or mages can spellsteal it. Be ready to remove it!

In normal, adds will stop spawning, but on heroic a few will keep coming through the fight.
The deadliest abilities occur in this phase.
Vengeful Shade adds appear and fixate random players. If they melee their target, they deal a lot of damage.
TARGETED PLAYERS
KITE THE SHADE
The boss summons an untargetable Vengeful Shade. It fixates a random player and disappears after a few seconds.
If it melees its target, it will explode dealing a large amount of damage to them.
This is lethal, you must kite them! They are hard to spot, especially on melee. Be alert of their spawn!
EVERYONE
MOVE OUT FROM THE AOE
In Phase 2 Lady Deathwhisper continues to cast Death and Decay, leaving AoE damage for 10s. Move out.

Same as P1, the boss mind controls a player.
The boss mind controls a random player, increasing their damage and healing by a large amount.

Manage the threat properly and tank swap when necessary!
Every 20s, the boss casts a frostbolt volley. This is unavoidable damage to all players, it also reduce movement speed by 30% for 4s.

This can be interrupted.
Lady Deathwhisper gains a new ability in this phase. It applies a 20% threat debuff to the current target, stacking 5 times.
Manage the threat properly and tank swap when necessary!
