On normal, the order of Spirit Kings is randomized. Each King has an ability they use when engaged, which they keep using after being defeated.
The order of Spirit Kings is set in Heroic to Qiang > Zian > Subetai > Meng.
The next Spirit King will spawn when the previous one reaches 30% health.
Each King has a new ability.
This fight is all about having good raid movement and the ability to stop hitting the boss when faced with the Shield of Darkness, Impervious Shield, and Sleight of Hand.
Once you defeat Qiang, he will remain in battle and only use Flanking Orders.
DODGE
THE WAVES OF MOBS
Two waves of adds spawn, walking towards the other side of the room, thrusting their weapons.
While you can walk through with perfect timing, the whole raid should be moving to avoid these for safety. Pick a path between the two and go as fast as possible.
This ability will also be periodically used after you have defeated him while you face the other bosses.
FACE BOSS
AWAY FROM RAID
Qiang periodically cleaves in front of him for a large amount of damage. This damage is split among all players hit.
The safest way to play this is to have all players who don't have positional requirements on abilities to stack on the tank for the duration of this phase.
Qiang puts up a shield that can be removed with abilities like Purge, Mass Dispel, and similar.
If any ability hits the boss while this shield is active, it will trigger additional Massive Attacks.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that everyone stops using abilities as soon as the cast begins, or even slightly before, since abilities with travel time can still trigger the shield even if cast early.

MOVE AWAY
AND DON'T GET HIT
DODGE
THE VOLLEY
Three volleys of arrows are sent towards a random player. This mechanic can be baited by stacking up.
If Volley is about to happen when a player is currently Pinned Down, be sure to stack the raid on the other side of the boss to prevent a death.
SPREAD OUT
AND KILL ARROWS
Arrows rain down from the sky, trapping any players within 8 yards of the impact zone and causing them to become Pinned Down. These have to be cleaved down.
Note that you can use Life Grip on a target that is Pinned Down to move them on top of the boss or save them from Volley if it's in their direction.
Subetai becomes vulnerable to stuns, but causes any player that hits him to be Robbed Blind, reducing their damage and healing done by 50% and reducing armor by 50%.
If you have a Rogue in the raid, pair Kidney Shot with the Prey on the Weak talent, which increases the boss's damage taken by 10%. If not, try chain stuns.

Once you defeat Zian, he will remain in battle and only use Undying Shadows.
KITE ADD
AND AVOID POOLS
Zian summons an Undying Shadow that needs to be killed. It fixates on a target and emits AoE damage within 10 yards.
When it dies, it leaves behind Coalescing Shadows and begins to reform after 30 seconds. Avoid standing in the shadow pool, as it deals damage over time.
After 30 seconds, it fully reforms as an Undying Shadow.
This ability will also be periodically used after you have defeated him while you face the other bosses.
Similar to Impervious Shield, Zian casts a barrier that deals large, unavoidable AoE damage whenever it is struck, until all stacks are removed.
It is crucial that all players stop using abilities as soon as the cast begins, or even slightly before, since abilities with travel time can still trigger the shield even if used early.
The 11 stacks of Shield of Darkness can be removed with Purge, Dispel Magic, or Mass Dispel. Tranquilizing Shot also works.

Splash damage is cast at a random player. Spread 8 yards apart in Ranged to avoid taking excess damage.
Once you defeat Meng, he will remain in battle and only use Maddening Shout.
All players lose their sanity and can be hit by other players. Once they have received 60k damage, they will be broken out.
This ability will also be periodically used after you have defeated him while you face the other bosses.
While Meng has Cowardice, he reflects damage equal to 50% of his current energy. The Cowardice debuff can be dispelled off friendly players.
Once he reaches 100 energy, he will switch to a Crazed personality.
While Meng is Crazed, he increases his damage done to the Tank by 200% of his current insanity.
Once he reaches 100 energy, he will switch to Cowardice personality.
If a cast of Crazy Thought is successful, Meng will gain 10 energy.
It's important to interrupt Crazy Thought while the boss is below 60-70 energy and let the cast through above this threshold.
This ensures you are getting through the scary part of Crazed/Cowardice as quickly as possible.
