The boss has 3 phases. Each time you kill a boss, the remaining ones heal to full and gain an ability, entering the next phase.
In easy mode, you will want to kill the boss in this order: Steelbreaker > Molgeim > Brundir
For the Hard Mode, you must kill Steelbreaker last, giving the following order: Brundir > Molgeim > Steelbreaker
