This pure single target fight alternates between one phase and an intermission.
In P1, one random half of the raid deals with mechanic A while the other deals with mechanic B. Soon after, the roles are reversed.
When Smolderon reaches 0 energy, an intermission starts and he recharges. He enrages after recharging six times.
During intermission, the boss does nothing and the raid takes heavy damage. Soak your orbs and dodge the fire.
In P1, Overheated players send out waves of fire when they explode. Dodge them.
In P1, the tank who gets soaked also gets a bomb that deals damage to the raid (reduced by distance).
In intermission, the raid takes a lot more damage. Orbs that reach the boss increase its damage by 3%.
Smolderon now enrages after the fourth intermission.
Twice in P1, three orbs spawn that each fixate and follow a player. Players need to stagger the orb soaks.
In P1, Overheated players now send out a lot more waves when they explode.

Smolderon applies a bomb to half the raid while simultaneously casting Brand of Damnation on one tank. This happens twice in P1.
Players with the bomb need to spread and the others need to soak with the tank. The roles are then reversed.

Twice in P1, Smolderon applies bombs to half the raid. The second time, the other half gets the bombs.
Afflicted players take damage and deal damage to nearby players for 10s before exploding. The explosion now also sends out six lava waves that deal heavy damage and knock players back.
This happens at the same time as Brand of Damnation.

Twice in P1, three orbs spawn that each fixate one player. After 30s, or when the orb reaches its player, it explodes, dealing large raid-wide damage and increasing the damage taken from them by 500% for 3s.
Players fixated need to kite their orb and only soak it when the vulnerability from the previous hit has expired. If orbs explode at the same time or while vulnerable, the raid dies.

SOAK WITH THE TANK
Twice in P1, and at the same time as Overheated, Smolderon casts a massive attack on the tank without a bomb.
All the players without a bomb need to soak with the tank to split the damage. Players hit also get a large healing absorption and take 500% more damage from soaking until intermission.
Every player has to soak before intermission. During intermission, players who previously soaked will spawn orbs that can be collected; they apply a massive player buff.

When it's fully healed, it causes a small explosion on the ground that deals damage to nearby players. Dodge these.

The tank hit by Brand of Damnation now gets a bomb that explodes after 6s, dealing massive damage to the raid, reduced by distance.
The tank needs to get far away before the explosion goes off.

Twice per P1, Smolderon stomps the ground and spawns lava geysers below some players. Geysers deal damage and knock back players who are hit.
The geysers leave behind permanent pools of fire. Bait them together to save space. Available space in the room gets smaller after each P1.
When Smolderon drops to 0 energy, the intermission starts. He goes to the middle of the room and knocks the raid back.
Intermission lasts 30s. Smolderon recharges and does nothing, then P1 starts again.
Players who soaked in P1 spawn orbs that can be soaked; they apply a massive player buff. Dodge the fire.

All players are knocked back. Don't get knocked into lava! Players who soaked with the tank in P1 also spawn five orbs only they can see and soak.
Eating an orb gives you a 20% damage & 10% healing buff for 20s. This buff stacks but does not increase in duration, so collect all orbs ASAP.
Any orbs that reach the boss permanently increase its damage by 5%.

The room is divided into rings. During intermission, Smolderon continuously sets different rings on fire.
Players hit by a ring take massive damage and a 10s DoT. This is a little dance; keep moving to a safe ring.
After recharging to 100 energy, intermission ends, Smolderon gets a permanent 10% damage increase, and P1 starts again.
After recharging four times, Smolderon enrages and quickly kills you.
During this phase, the raid-wide damage ticks every second instead of every three, and damage is increased by 70%. The raid takes massive damage.
